Weekend At The Property

I know it has been a long time, but it is because we are trying to figure out pictures and I haven't had a lot of time to do that. Anyway, we are going to start from now and maybe go back and update when I figure out pictures.
Memorial Day weekend is always a busy weekend for our family. Friday was Michelle's birthday but most of our time was spent packing and getting ready to go to our family property in Enterprise UT. We got all packed and ready by 11:30. Michelle was hopping Rebecca would just sleep through getting into the car and driving down (a 4-6 hour drive depending on how many stops) but while Dave & Michelle were getting ready a little voice from the other room asked if it was time to go yet. The drive went great other than the fact that everyone was awake so we had to stop several times for the bathroom. It was ok though because that is better than not being told until it is to late, right. This year we were working on clean up of the property and Grandpa Elmer's porch. Rebecca had a great time on the swings and playing with the other kids. We got most of the porch done and could have finished it but there is a disagreement as to what we should do with the other short side. I want stairs my mom wants railing. We'll see who gets their way.
This is one moment I wish I could show you all a picture, but alas. Anyway, in the ceiling of the pavilion a raven had built a huge nest and had babies in it. Most of the time all you could see was its beak and head because it didn't move much to protect the babies from all of the intruders, but we forgot to get a picture until we were driving home. Another strange event, there was a cat that was roaming the property while we were there. Denise (Michelle's relation through her dads aunt) brought her dog down and as soon as she got out of the van the cat started attacking her. The cat seriously chased the dog all over the property digging its claws deep into the behind of the dog. It was like one of those moments that you know you shouldn't laugh because the dog was getting hurt, but you just couldn't help it because how often do you see a cat go after a dog like that? Anyway, it was a fun camping event. The drive home went even better than the drive down. Rebecca was awake the entire time but said she didn't need to stop until we got home. That is 2 of the 5 times we are obligated to go to the work weekend because Michelle is in the presidency. Only 3 more to go!!!
